Victoria Crutchfield is a director and educator whose work in both fields aims to engage, explore, and expand the human mind and heart.

Favorite projects include: Mozart’s Cosí fan tutte at Manhattan School of Music; Massenet's Manon at dell'Arte Opera Ensemble; Matthew Aucoin's Second Nature at Music Academy of the West; Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites with Bel Canto at Caramoor; and Song Cycle, a multimedia immersive experience at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA. Her work has been praised for its "eloquent simplicity" (New York Times), "fluent entertainment" (Boston Globe), "spare but inventive staging" (Parterre Box), and "unforced charm" (Baltimore Sun).

Crutchfield earned an AB magna cum laude in Literature at Harvard University and received the James S. Marcus Directing Fellowship to work with acclaimed director Stephen Wadsworth at the Juilliard School. She has also studied with Lisa Rothe, Kimberly Senior, and Suzie Agins (ESPA); Emmanuelle Delpeche and Tom Lee (MTS); Tommy Derrah (A.R.T); Stephen Webber (SITI Company); and Scott Zigler, Mike Piazza, and Jordan Lage (Atlantic Acting School). She was the 2017 Apprentice Stage Director at the Merola Opera Program.
